 LUNAR-CY!  Nasa promises nuclear power plant on MOON by 2030 – with a bizarre catch NASA has   plans to put a nuclear power plant on the Moon within this decade but it's publicly asking for help to make it happen. The space agency and the US Department of Energy are asking for ideas on how to build a uranium-powered nuclear reactor and send it to the lunar surface. A statement  from the Department of Energy's Idaho National Laboratory confirmed it was teaming up with Nasa for the project. It said the duo were hoping to "establish a durable, high-power, sun-independent power source for NASA missions." The US space agency is "seeking proposals from nuclear and space industry leaders" on how the nuclear power system could be created and sent to space inside a 12 foot long, 18-foot wide rocket. IPOB/ESN Storm Forest In Delta, Shoot Cows On Sight Members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its militant arm, the Eastern Security Network (ESN) have reportedly stormed forests in Delta State to begin the enforcement of the government’s anti-open grazing law. SaharaReporters obtained a video where some of masked gunmen, believed to be ESN fighters, were shooting at cows reportedly wandering on farmlands. JAMB: UTME registration closes today The Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board, JAMB, has extended the registration for 2021/2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculations Examination to June 15. The extension, according to the examinations’ body, is for candidates who have not completed their registration, They are to visit special centres to finish the process. JAMB’s spokesman Fabian Benjamin, who disclosed this yesterday in a statement titled “Completion of 2021 UTME/DE registration for candidates who did not register within the stipulated time and the extension period,”  explained that the extension was for only those who could not complete their registration during the earlier scheduled registration period. "Most of us got injured," one of the schoolgirls told the BBC, adding that gunmen threatened to shoot them. The girls were abducted by unidentified assailants from their boarding school in Jangebe, Zamfara state, on Friday and taken to a forest, police said. The state's governor said on Tuesday that the 279 girls had been freed. Such kidnappings are carried out for ransom and are common in the north of the country. On Tuesday, dozens of the girls were seen gathered at a government building in Zamfara after they were taken there in a fleet of mini-buses.
